Equus Sanctuary
Equus
Sanctuary stepped in to help these three wonderful
matrons! Thank you Equus, not only for saving
these lovely ladies, but for also taking
the time to educate and support TIER in its efforts to help
them.
#
162. Chestnut Arabian gelding.
3 white socks, star, snip. Appx. 6 yrs. old
and is very green. It is not known whether he rides. They have
not attempted
to ride him due to the fact that his left front hoof is terribly
clubbed.
I do not know if extensive farrier work would assist this horse
in being
able to be ridden at some point. I leave that to the experts.
It is doubtful
that he will find a home. He is somewhat "high strung".
This
boy has a new home thanks to Noelle!! He will be living his
life on the pastures at Equus Sanctuary. Due to the extreme
neglect of his clubbed foot, the foot grew improperly. When
told of his plight, Noelle indicated she would pay his ransom
and Equus said of course they would give him a home! Thank you
Noelle & Equus Sanctuary for helping horses that would otherwise
never have a chance to breathe in and out!

Bay Arabian Mare. Star, Snip. Appx. 20 yrs. old. Appx.
14 - 14.1 hands. This is a sweet, sweet mare that would require
an advanced intermediate rider.

Chestnut Arabian mare. Blaze. Flaxen/reddish mane.
Appx. 18 yrs. old. Appx. 14-14.1 hands. This mare and the mare
above came in together and they are close buddies. They both
stay apart from the other horses. She is a quiet mare and rides
well. Somewhat shy until you get a halter on her. Not hard to
catch though. She also would require an advanced intermediate
rider.

Bay Morgan Cross Mare. Appx. 18 - 20 yrs. Appx. 14.3
hands. This mare is very broke. Rides well. Her left eye is
cloudy and she would need a rider that is aware of this. It
is also believed that this mare has been through the feedlots
before at one time and was supposedly "rescued" some
time back. This is the first time I have seen this mare.
