Morgana
Morgana
- Sorrell
Arabian mare. Star, Strip, Snip-upper lip. 14.2 - 3 hands. Foaled
2/22/96. Quite a personable mare! Her nose has been terribly sunburned!
It looks quite painful! (see pics on website). A very nice mare
that I have been told has some nice bloodlines. Since I am not
familiar with Arabian bloodlines, I will leave that to be determined
by those that are knowledgeable about this. She is rideable by
an experienced/advanced intermediate rider.
Debbie of
BAEN (Bay Area Equestrian Network; http://www.bayequest.com),
recognized the name of this beautiful mare's sire and contacted
the owners to let them know that a Monogram filly was at a feedlot.
As a result, I was contacted by Bishop Lane Farms (Owners of Monogram)
who told me "Get her out of there now!!" No ifs, ands
or buts! This my friends is a responsible breeder! They were appalled
that a filly of their famous stallion should end up in a situation
such as this. In fact, they did some back tracking and found out
this poor filly with the horribly sunburned nose had been through
2 auctions BEFORE she ended up at a feedlot!! Upon receiving the
message from Bishop Lane Farms, Morganna was brought to TIER.
As fortune would have it, we were able to find a hauler going
to Northern California where Bishop Lane Farms is located and
Morganna went home the next morning. She has been taken care of
by a vet and a farrier immediately and will be resting from her
ordeal in a lush pasture. I am so grateful to Debbie for reaching
out and contacting the breeders. Bishop Lane Farms have shown
themselves to be responsible, caring breeders who go the extra
mile. This 3 yr. old filly was the kindest, gentlest filly I have
seen in awhile. Despite her being shuffled around, she was not
a mental wreck. She has a good mind and I would not be surprised
to hear wonderful things about her in the future. Thank you Bishop
Lane Farms. I only hope otherbreeders/owners follow your example
of being responsible horse people.
