He is doing great, the vet ultra sounded his leg and says nothing is wrong with it. He is owned and loved by janet and she has taken him home for the winter for long trail rides and tons of love. She calls Devon the "love of her life." He has a little paint buddy named Pie and they get along great. We took Devon to a show over the summer and he placed well (and first and a couple of seconds). He knew what to do. He will never be jumped high again!! The vet was floored when we told him that Devon had jumped 5' in the past (per lot owner). He is way too little to jump that high and the vet said that he must have jumped with all heart. Who ever owned Devon before did love him and it shows because he is a very loving confident horse and he knows he is beautiful!! Devon did get strangles when we first bought him from the feed lot, but he has been over that for months. Strangles is a scary thing when you don't know what it is, but it was a good experience for both of us he bonded with us and we can know deal with strangles.
